Home to generations of loyal guests, the Peruvian's customer base was aging. The time had come to rebrand and attract a younger generation of skiers.

Finding the brand story involved a few simple things: a swimsuit, six-pack of PBR and great listening skills.
The hot tub is where we got most of our intel. After a long day of skiing, guests gathered in the spacious hot tub (with snow falling on their heads) to share the stories of their day. The brand story started writing itself as we heard phrases like “you’re always high in Alta,” “it’s like we’re at camp” and “we’re just family.”
Our work didn’t stop there. Vintage signage, vibrant colors associated with ski gear and bright blue skies contributed to the new color palette. The logo was refreshed using the signature snowflake commonly found throughout the lodge. Finally, playful messaging was executed by integrating modern typography with vivid photography, geared toward attracting a younger demographic.
Driven by the unscripted moments taking place throughout the lodge, we directed a documentary-style photoshoot geared toward capturing a day-in-the-life of a guest.
Our focus is on the camaraderie and personality of the property, its staff and generations of guests. This visual narrative is the heart of the website.
A website is a hotel’s cash register. We know that. But hotel websites need to promise an experience as well. The Peruvian’s was designed to do just that.
We developed a stunning creative design, utilizing new imagery along with some tongue-in-cheek copy to keep the visitor entertained. We also got a little fancy with advanced functionality, including an interesting social feed, Mountain Report with ski conditions and a guest blog.
Because you can’t take the snow home
When we say Alta is cool, we’re either talking about the vibe or the temperature. In this case, Alta Peruvian Lodge asked us to help create their own custom line of reusable face masks for staff and guest use. With unlimited freedom for creativity, we sketched out a variety of illustrations and designed numerous collaged icons to help showcase the Peruvian brand on this relevant guest touchpoint.
