A Milwaukee community staple since 1946, Glorioso’s Italian Market is one of the most unique shopping experiences in the city. With that specialness comes authenticity and the aroma of fresh italian sausages, breads and cookies alike. A classic Italian-Mediterranean marketplace, Glorioso’s delivers ingredients for turning any kitchen into an Italian grandma’s own.

Built on strong Italian traditions.
Seeing other community grocers step up their online efforts, third-generation grocer, Michael Glorioso followed suit and entrusted our team with the online presence of his famous family store and Italian deli. With their new event space, Appetito, opening across the street, Glorioso’s wanted to focus on a blog and centralizing information about events and community efforts.
Because so much of Glorioso’s business is built on relationships, they wanted to make the online shopping experience as easy as shopping in the store. With a free account, users can order products and receive a wine pairing or cheese recommendation each time they check out and sign back in, creating that same personal touch the Glorioso family values.
Featuring a bevy of products, we made the website a hybrid between WordPress and Shopify. Everything from the shop page to the deli menu is extremely customizable through a flexible backend and Advanced Custom Field entering systems. Updated weekly, the Glorioso’s website lives up to the family name: consistent, honest and loyal.
In 2019, Glorioso’s achieved a 488% growth in digital sales. By adding the integrated catering menu, along with targeted marketing campaigns, catering business grew by 82% since 2017. And more than just catering, by including a delivery option on the Shopify site, Glorioso’s saw an average increase of $5,400 a month in revenue from food delivery alone. All in all, we think this was a booming success.
